Reading, together
Meri Kahaani is being built for shared reading: the child discovering a story, the caregiver bringing it to life, and the language that connects them. Romanized Urdu offers another way in for families who speak Urdu but are less familiar with its script.
Inside the app we’re building
Urdu script, Romanized Urdu, and English make room for different levels of reading confidence in the same family.
Illustrated stories, a personal bookshelf, and a story studio designed to let caregivers create stories featuring their child.
A book-like reading experience being designed and tested for iPad and iPhone, with grown-up controls around setup and story creation.
Care comes first
Our design approach is to keep child information minimal: a first name, optional Urdu spelling, selected age, and cartoon avatar choices. We are not building child profiles around photographs, voice recordings, birthdates, or school information.
The app is still being developed and tested. App-specific privacy information, service terms, and details of any paid features will be published before public release. This website does not collect children’s profiles or create stories.
Availability: No public download or release date has been announced. The images here show development artwork, not a promise of the final interface.
